Sonal Murthy
Sonal Murthy joined PharmaHealth Pharmacy in January of 2008.
Ms. Murthy earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2006 from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences, Boston, MA.
She is also a 1999 graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with an emphasis in Microbiology.
As Clinical Pharmacist at PharmaHealth Pharmacy, Sonal Murthy takes on several responsibilities. One responsibility includes conducting complete patient profile reviews to evaluate the correctness of prescribed medications. This includes drug-drug interaction, therapy duplications, appropriate dose, allergies, the inherent toxicity of a drug, and the potential side effects. She is a hospice consultant for PharmaHealth as well.
Ms. Murthy maintains liaison relationships with medical and nursing staff to provide timely information pertaining to medication, and about state and federal regulations regarding drug control standards.
She collaborates with HIV/AIDS facilities to optimize individualized medication and provide appropriate recommendations regarding patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
In addition, Ms. Sonal Murthy designs and implements procedures and protocols for a Medication Therapy Management Program that benefits community nursing staff within hospice and palliative care regimens.
Prior to working for PharmaHealth Pharmacy, Ms. Murthy has gained great knowledge and experience from a variety of local and regional pharmacy environments. Recent locations include The Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA, Wal-Mart Pharmacy, Fall River, MA, and Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, MA.

Julia Fonseca
Julia Fonseca has been with PharmaHealth Pharmacy since January of 2001. She has been with the company since before the company’s name change, as it was originally known as The Medicine Shoppe of New Bedford.
Prior to working at PharmaHealth’s Long Term Care location (LTC), Ms. Fonseca worked for four years as a retail pharmacy technician for Richard Brisson at The Medicine Shoppe in New Bedford.
In March of 2002, Ms. Fonseca became licensed as a pharmacy technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Also in 2002, she received a certification in this same field to earn the title of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
In 2006, she was asked by Mr. Brisson to help start a new project (PharmaHealth LTC) in Dartmouth, MA. Julia played a very important role in helping to get the new location off the ground.
As Ms. Fonseca continued her career at PharmaHealth Pharmacy’s LTC location, her first two years were spent working as a data entry technician.
In November of 2007, Julia Fonseca was promoted to the position of Operations Manager. She has several important roles in this position. These roles include maintaining good relationships with the facilities we currently service, overseeing the production line, employee scheduling and maintaining workflow. She is also responsible for data entry, overseeing courier service and ordering supplies.
